Welcome to Mirai Consulting

Mirai Consulting AB is a family company run by Petter Andersson and currently Petter is the only consultant working in Mirai Consulting.

Petter has 20+ years experience from SW development within embedded systems and has a deep interest in developing SW for the HW adaptation layer, device drivers and kernel porting. A total three years of experience from working in Japan and much longer experience from international projects spanning across multiple development sites. Experience from roles such as developer, architect and team leader. For the past 10 years Petter has been involved in projects related to networking industry.

Need a skilled device driver developer or technical co-ordinator for an international development project? Petter can cover a wide range of technical roles within a (embedded) SW development project.

We are currently situated in Stockholm, Sweden, however Tokyo is our second home. Have you got ideas for interesting assignments us in the Tokyo area then please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Who we are

Mirai is Japanese 未来 and means future. There is no other meaning to the name Mirai Consulting than the fact that we like the sound of mirai in japanese and that we like the idea of having a future. Mirai Consulting is the future we want to create for ourselves when it comes to working with what we enjoy!

In addition, we do like the bay area in Yokohama and the area around Minato Mirai. This has probably influenced the name.

Note that due to a registered EU product trademark we were not allowed to register Mirai Consulting AB as spelled exactly when the company was first created. So the formal registered name initially was Miraizu Consulting AB

Miraizu 未来図 is a sort of Japanese word game and would be read as “picture of the future”.

However we liked to use the shorter and “easier to pronounce” form - Mirai Consulting - and when the registered trademark was no longer active we could change the name to the originally intended Mirai Consulting AB (July 2020).
